Wilder Carbon

Wilder Carbon is a high integrity Natural Climate Solution, leveraging the intrinsic power of nature to help limit global heating by restoring native habitats as reflected in its mission: “to safeguard nature by protecting and restoring carbon rich native habitats across the UK for the benefit of climate, wildlife and society, delivering genuine carbon removals". To do this it has created a voluntary carbon standard that results in the production of conservation-grade carbon offsets from native habitat restoration projects and matches these to buyers who are committed to reducing their own emissions.

Wilder Carbon is a member of the Nature Finance Certification Alliance (NFCA) because it supports and contributes to developing a high-integrity, UK-wide nature finance market. By being part of the NFCA, Wilder Carbon helps shape approaches that ensure transparent, credible, consistent and strategic solutions in how nature-based projects are financed, verified, and presented to investors and buyers — aligning with its own mission to deliver genuine carbon removal and biodiversity benefits through its Standard.
