Soil Association Certification are the leading validation and verification body for UK nature-based solutions, predominantly Woodland Carbon Code and the Peatland Code.

We are currently celebrating 50 years as a certification body, license 1800 organic farms in the UK, 97% of the UK’s certified forests to FSC® (Forest Stewardship Council) and PEFC (Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification) standards, and another 27 million hectares of forest worldwide.

We see collaboration as key in addressing the climate, biodiversity and health emergencies. Participation in the Nature Finance Certification Alliance is a clear example of the kind of joined up working which is essential to create momentum for change.
